How we can help
-
English classes for level 1-8: Whether you’re just starting to learn English or already have advanced skills, we’ve got classes for every level! Our free language classes are available from Literacy to Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 8. You can choose from morning, afternoon, or evening classes—offered full-time, part-time, in-person, and online at locations in Toronto, Mississauga, and Brampton.
-
Care for Newcomer Children (CNC) program: Qualified participants with children aged 6 months to 6 years can access free childcare through the CNC program at select locations. While you focus on learning English, your child will also be learning and growing with the help of a certified Early Childhood Educator (ECE).
-
Family Literacy Program: This program includes fun and helpful activities to support English learning at home for both you and your family. Our library offers resources to help newcomers and their children improve their reading and general English skills. Plus, we give students the chance to volunteer, helping them build communication and soft skills.
-
One-on-one settlement support: Every student is connected with a settlement worker who speaks their first language to assist them in settling into life in Canada.
-
LINC HUB Program: Depending on your location, additional programs are available to support you, such as the Employment Access Program, Settlement Services, Women’s Wellness, Financial Literacy, Youth Programs, Mental Health and Wellness Services, and more. For example, the Mississauga Valley HUB Program offers a wide range of these services.
-
Technology & Online Communication Skills Enhancement (Peel only): Want to get better at using online tools and technology? Our Technology & Online Communication Skills classes are here to help! These sessions are designed for all skill levels—whether you're just starting out or already know the basics. You'll learn how to use online platforms with confidence, improve your computer and English communication skills, and get one-on-one or group support tailored to your needs. We’ll also track your progress and help you reach your goals step by step!
At CCS, we’re proud to support newcomers as they settle into life in Canada and achieve their dreams. One inspiring story is from Mohammad, who came to Canada in 2016 with limited English skills and joined our LINC program at the age of 74. He improved his English, made friends, and found a love for learning.
Mohammad credits the caring and patient LINC teachers at CCS for making his experience unforgettable and helping him realize the value of humanity through education. He remains grateful for his time with CCS and hopes to visit again someday.
